Beauty of the Mercy Seat

Just by the very title we have and understanding of God’s heart towards man, (John 3:16-17, 1:16-17, Jeremiah 29:11) the Mercy Seat! (Romans 3:25-propitiation is the mercy seat) God so loved He sent His Son for our salvation, all unearned, undeserved and unmerited. Shown to us by the very type and actual mercy seat of the tabernacle, now fulfilled/finished at the Cross, (John 17:4, 19:30) The Mercy Seat. Knowing that Jesus Christ once fulfilled at the Cross sat down signifying all the work of the Cross/Mercy Seat done. (Mark 16:19, Romans 8:34, Revelation 3:21) Amen.

Mercy Seat reminding me to pray (giving water and food to the enemy-Romans 12:20) about the protests etc. going on. (Romans 3:6-20,23) First and most important is to rest in the Grace and Truth of our Lord for our God is in control and reigneth period.

Of us He requires to rest in Him (Hebrews 4:9-11) praying always. (Ephesians 6:18, I Thessalonians 5:16-17) Amen. For seeing all the lies and hate being propagated in Romans 3 we now having the Mercy seat shown and given to us all in Romans 3:21-30. Amen.

Thank you, Lord, for your abundant shalom and love to us all so we all encounter God’ heart/Mercy Seat.

Remembrance

Reading different passages this morning from Numbers to Nehemiah and stopped at one of my favorites; Nehemiah 8:10. Oh, so good to daily (Matthew 6:11, Jeremiah 15:16) be reminded/being filled of our Lord by His own Word and be borne daily in His joy given us freely in Grace and Truth. (John 1:16-17) Selah.

As I was meditating on Nehemiah verse the Holy Spirit nudged (never in condemnation nor guilt-Romans 8:1-2 but always in shalom and love–comforter-John 14:26, 16:13) me to read the rest of the chapter.

It was about the Feast of Tabernacles being restored. How awesome for this Holy Feast ordained in perpetuity (Leviticus 23:33-44) is also known as Sukkot (tabernacle or booth). (FYI this year Wed. Oct. 16-Wed. 23rd–but for believers a daily joyous thanksgiving and celebration of life-John 10:10) A Testament and joyous remembrance, celebrating Gods covering Isarel (and the Church) in the wilderness journey and the gifting of the new land. (like our celebration of the Lords Supper but we may celebrate as often as we would) How He tabernacled among them ever protecting and providing for their every physical need while instructing them to live spiritually. A joyous time in all of Gods provisions. As in Titus not by our works even if righteous but by God and He alone by the Holy Spirit in Christ Jesus. Joy indeed that we are also so covered, even more today as God Himself Tabernacles in us. (II Corinthians 6:16) Selah.

Nothing we prepared but Gods mercy and love in His provisions for us in His joy we live. Selah.

Stooped

Reading a book about grace and was struck by the teaching of grace as Christ stooping down (John 1:16-17) for us. It just rings out so true in my spirit I cannot help but be lifted up in hope and faith. (Romans 15:13) Is this not one of the gifted benefits of Grace? (I Corinthians 15:10, II Corinthians 12:9, II Peter 1:2, Jude 2) Amen.

Everywhere in the Word we see God coming, doing and supplying us. Not because we deserve it nor earned it but for His love for us. (John 3:16, I John 4:8-10) Even when He is rejected, He loves. Truely only Gods love is this powerful in Grace and Truth that we are gifted/given freely to taste and have his love in us. Selah shalom.

The reference of Jesus stooping is found in John 8:6-8. One of the more well-known episodes of Jesus life. As with all scripture (II Timothy 3:16-17) there are many truths and teachings in the verses. Amen.

But today zeroing in on stooped. Not in weakness, fear or subservience but Jesus showing forth grace in power of God coming for us, all sinners and lost without Him. Both the overt sinners and those pious self-righteous ‘law’ keepers. He stooped for all. Amen. Stooped in the Greek here is having stooped down or action done already. His birth, coming in Grace and Truth and His final action (John 19:30) at the Cross, salvation. Stooped at the Cross receiving all our sins, diseases that we have life (John 10:10)-go and sin no more. (II Corinthians 5:21) Selah.

Some Greek scholars believe that the base for the Greek word stooped is from a word meaning to swell, wave, surge and billow. I also so believe for Grace in stooping of our Lord never ceases (John 1:16) but goes on and on overwhelming us, lifting us up in every situation. (Romans 8:28-39)

Covered

In Matthew 4:4 Jesus is answering satan and his temptation. Showing us the Way (John 14:6) to live (Romans 8:1-2) in Him in this world. (I John 4:17) Amen.

Not only covered physically but spiritually. God in Jesus provides both. (Deuteronomy 8:4-10) Amen. Our wellbeing/covering coming from Jesus, the Word of God (John 1:1-2, 14, 16-17) all for our good (Romans 8:28) learning (II Timothy 4:16-17) and rest. (Hebrews 4:9-12) The Word given us is alive and powerful able to change those who hear and receive. (Romans 10:17) It is in God and not of us that we are covered, thank God. God is not fooled nor swayed by emotions nor lies (Numbers 23:19) but in Jesus Christ has given us His covering/salvation (Psalms 91) by the Blood of His only Son. (II Corinthians 5:21, I John `4:9-10) Once for all never needing to be done again for (Hebrews 9:24-28) any reason. Hallelujah and amen. Covered in all ways and in all things. (Deuteronomy 28:19, Psalms 121:8) Amen.

In so answering Jesus has given us the way now in this world to see Him, (Psalms 119:103) learn Him (Psalms 118:130) and be guided by Him. (Psalms 118:108) It is the Word. We have been gifted the Grace and Truth to seek and find (Jeremiah 15:16) forever covered. Selah.

In God’s Work is our Joy

God has done in Christ Jesus the creation of the world. (John 1:10, Colossians 1:16) That we in Him may joy even in the fallen world. For being in the world, we are no longer of the world (John 17:14-16) but of God in Christ. Amen and amen. Therefore, we joy in the works of our Abba in Christ (Psalms 92:4) through the power of the Holy Ghost in us now. (John 14:26, Romans 5:5, Philippians 4:13) Amen.

We are being blessed in our salvation, we joy in the working out (Philippians 2:12-13) God’s Grace and Truth (John 1:16-17) in us in every situation. What a joy not based on things, emotions but on the very works of our living and merciful God, who so loves us. (John 3:16-17, Romans 5: 8-9) Amen.

Our gift of joy growing daily as we learn of our Lord (II Peter 3:18) being tested and tried but standing firm in the Lord’s joy (Psalms 118:24, Nehemiah 8:10) in us. Praise God it is His joy so it cannot be moved, changed nor taken away. (Psalms 21:7[II Peter 2:9], Psalms 112:6-7, Hebrews 12:28) Not just Gods joy for us but in us the very Truth and assurance we are His (Psalms 100:3[1-5], John 17:8-10, I Corinthians 3:23) and He is well pleased with us. For we know the Fathers joy in Jesus (Matthew 3:17) and our joy in God’s work in Jesus we rest. (Romans 8:1-2, II Corinthians 5:21) Amen.
